Giving Lives A Second Start
The GLASS Project (Giving Lives A Second Start) is a compassionate initiative aimed at supporting women, particularly pregnant women and mothers with young children, as they embark on the journey of early recovery from substance use disorders. Recognizing the unique challenges these women face, GLASS offers a hand-in-hand approach that encompasses all steps of early recovery and recovery maintenance, providing comprehensive support to help them rebuild their lives.
The program addresses essential needs that can otherwise create significant barriers to recovery. Assistance includes help with utility bills, one-time rent assistance, food security, and obtaining critical documentation like identification. GLASS not only provides these practical resources but also offers emotional and logistical support, empowering these women to regain stability for themselves and their families. By focusing on early intervention and continuity of care, GLASS fosters a nurturing environment where women can rebuild confidence and independence as they work toward long-term recovery and self-sufficiency. Through GLASS, women find the support network and resources they need to create a brighter future for themselves and their children.
