LAND MANOR PROGRAM RULES

  • Personal respect is a key component to successful recovery.  All clients are to keep their person and personal areas neat, clean, and orderly.  Personal hygiene, laundered clothing and the upkeep of personal spaces is a requirement for continued admission to the program.

  • Respect for your team members and peers is always expected.  Any discussions, or disagreements should be handled responsibly.  At no time is it appropriate to engage in verbal or physical altercations with other clients or team members. 

  • Participation in any area of programing is not optional.  To best support your wellness and recovery journey, we have designed groups, individual sessions, events, activities, assignments, and other modalities to promote your success.  There are optional offerings which are noted on your schedule, and accommodations for physical limitations will be made.  Accommodations, however, are geared towards promoting the highest level of involvement possible.  

  • To give each client, the privacy they require during this process, you are not permitted to enter the bedroom or personal space of another client without permission.  

  • Your safety during admission with SouthPointe is of the utmost importance.  To help safeguard all clients while admitted to our facility, no clients are allowed to leave the facility, group, or activity without permission and without supervision. 

  • Clients are submitted to random and unannounced drug and alcohol testing as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a drug and alcohol-free environment.

  • Clients are to follow the self-administration of prescription medications as noted on the prescription.  You are not permitted to maintain possession of any medications, including over the counter medications, vitamins, or similar supplements.  All medications, vitamins and supplements will be secured in the medication room and made available at necessary times.  Misuse, or the attempted misuse, of any medication is prohibited.

  • Threats, verbal or physical including aggressive action towards others will not be tolerated.  

  • No photographs, video or audio recordings may be made by any client during their admission to the facility.  Privacy laws strictly prohibit the exposure of personal health information, including the confirmation of a client’s admission, without expressed, written consent.  

  • Morning wakeup calls are made daily by a SouthPointe team member.  Clients are expected to promptly begin their day.  Multiple wakeup calls should not be necessary.  If you wish to have additional personal time in the mornings, an early wakeup call may be requested each night.  

  • Clients shall always be property groomed.  Showing daily is a requirement, along with personal hygiene, including use of deodorant, and shaving or keeping facial hair neatly groomed.  If you need grooming or hygiene supplies, please ask.  

  • Clients shall always be properly dressed.  Clothing that is transparent, ripped, torn or missing pieces, zippers or buttons are not permitted.  Low-cut, excessively tight or body exposing clothing is also prohibited.  No clothing that promotes drugs or alcohol may be worn.  All hats are to be removed when entering any building.  Assistance for those with limited clothing resources is available. 

  • Clients are required to always wear clean clothing and must take advantage of laundry facilities during their assigned time.  Doing laundry is not optional. 

  • Clients are encouraged to use their personal time and break time appropriately, which may include finishing homework assignments, using the restroom or getting a drink or snack.  

  • There is NO food or drink inside any office, or bedroom (other than water).  Snacks are permitted in the group room (not full meals) permitting they do not disrupt instruction. Clients are responsible to clean up after themselves, always. 

  • clients are not permitted to enter office space or administrative space, or otherwise restricted area without permission. 

  • Lottery tickets, or any form of gambling, are strictly prohibited. 

  • Guns, Knives, or other weapons are not allowed. 

 

VISITATION POLICY

SouthPointe encourages the positive involvements of family members and loved ones when they are beneficial to a client’s recovery and wellness journey.  All visitors must be approved by the client’s primary counselor prior to visitation day. Visitation Day is each Sunday, from 1pm to 5pm.  

  • Visitors must be clean and sober.  Visitors suspected of being under the influence are subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening.  Visitors who refuse will be asked to leave and the visit terminated. 

  • Visitors must attend the mandatory 1:00 pm orientation. 

  • Visitors must be approved by the client’s primary counselor.  Denials must be appealed to the Program Manager who has final say on visitation decisions. 

  • Visitors must remain in common areas, or other approved areas during the visit and are not allowed in the personal areas of the facility, including bedrooms.  

  • No sexual contact is permitted during visitation. Excess signs of affection (including kissing, or intimate contact) are not permitted. 

  • Items brought to visitation are subject to search prior to being given to the client. We ask that no homemade foods, or other similar items be brought into the facility. Pre-packaged food, or food purchased at a restaurant the day of the visit are permitted. 

  • Visitors shall adhere to all rules during visitation, and visitations are subject to termination if: 

    • Visitor/client become visible or audible agitated or angry. 

    • Visitor/client display or engage in sexual behavior. 

    • Visitor/client are in possession of prohibited materials, including drugs, alcohol, lottery tickets or pornography.  

 

PERSONAL FOOD POLICY

  • Clients are allowed to purchase food for personal use provided the items do not contain mind altering substances.  Heavily caffeinated energy drinks are prohibited, along with any item containing drugs or alcohol. Items that require refrigeration are not allowed.

  • Clients are to clearly mark their food items and store them in the provided bins in the pantry.  Open containers or packaging shall be dated and marked upon placing in the bin.  Undated and un-named items will be discarded weekly.

  • There is not food or drink (except water) allowed in any bedroom.  

 

CELL PHONE POLICY 

Cell phones are not permitted during any part of your treatment experience.  Clients who arrive with cell phones will be permitted to write down necessary phone numbers upon intake.  The cell phone will be returned to you upon discharge.  If you require access to information on your phone, it must be done in the presence of, and with the permission of your counselor.
